BLIND CRICKET MATCH

The Sports Board of the IIS University in collaboration with the Rajasthan Netraheen Kalyan Sangh organized a Blind Cricket Match in the IISU campus on Thursday 15 February 2018. In this the students of the Blind School were divided into two teams that is yellow and black. The yellow team won the toss and set a target of 200 runs for the other team. Black team scored 190 runs. The match was in favor of yellow team whose player Azruhuddhin was awarded as best batsman and from team black Praveen was awarded as best bowler.

Umpiring was done by Mohd. Javed who is already a Gold Medalist in Javelin Throw in the Open National Blind Competition.

In the end our Vice Chancellor Dr. Ashok Gupta Sir, and Registrar, Dr. Raakhi Gupta Ma’am, gave mementos to all the students who participated in the event.

The event was concluded with a cultural programme presentation by the Sansthan students.

All the teachers and students who participated in the event were provided with refreshments and lunch on campus.

The purpose of organizing this extension activity was to sensitize and spread awareness in the surrounding community and the University students.
