Objective: To introduce first-semester undergraduate students to the university's sports programs, guide them about Monday activity classes, and inform them about opportunities to participate in inter-university sports tournaments.

On September 2, 2024, the University Sports Board conducted an Orientation Programme for Undergraduate Semester I students. A total of 38 students attended the session. The purpose of the session was to provide detailed guidance about their Monday activity classes and to explain how students can take part in various Inter-University and West Zone Inter-University Tournaments organized by the Sports Board.

Dr. Amita Adhikari, Secretary of the Sports Board, addressed the students and shared important information about: Registration for sports activities, Sports Credit System, Official Sports Website, Duty Leave Forms

Following this, Harshita Sharma, an outstanding alumna of IISU, shared her personal journey and experiences in university sports, which made the session more relatable and engaging for the students.

All student questions were answered by the University Sports Board, ensuring that everyone had a clear understanding of how to get involved in campus sports.

At the end of the session, students were asked to fill out feedback forms to share their thoughts and suggestions about the orientation.

Outcome: The session successfully informed new students about sports activities, registration, and credit systems, while also motivating them through alumna interaction and resolving their queries.
