The IIS University Jaipur conducted a workshop on Yoga and Meditation on 1 and 2 May 2018 in the Sports Health Club of the University. The campus students participated in this event .The event started at 8 am in the morning .The session started with a Yoga prayer.

There was a warming up session which was followed by various Asana. In this session, our Yoga teacher Ms. Janki Pareek gave theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Theory session included knowledge of Asana as well as their benefits and even discussion on certain diseases were held .After a break of 15 minutes. Practical session started with practice of Suryanamaskar and its benefits. Yoga asana such as standing, sitting , Vajrasana and Pawanmuktasana was taught by our yoga teacher. The session emphasized on Importance of Yoga. They stressed on the need of practicing Yoga and Yoga as a way of life.
2 May 2018
The session started with Poster making competition on Yoga and Meditation. In which 30 students participated in above event. Students were so admirable that it well described the meaning of Yoga.

In these 2 days Workshop students learnt so many things and actively participated in the event. The University received a positive feedback from the students, who requested that similar activities should be conducted more often.
