Guest Lecture on Adolescent Reproductive Health

Objective: To spread awareness among university girls about their reproductive health problems.

 

Description: On 10th April 2023, the University Sports Board along with Department of Physical Education of IISU organized a guest lecture on Adolescents’ Reproductive Health in collaboration with Eternal Heart Care Centre (EHCC), Jaipur. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Poonam Upadhyaya, who is the Director of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of EHCC. She has spoken about the regular health problems faced by the adolescent girls nowadays such as PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease). The aim of the guest lecture was to help improve the lives of those affected by PCOS\PCOD and to help them to overcome their symptoms as well as prevent and reduce their risks for life-threatening related diseases such as Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease and Endometrial Cancer.

At the end, Dr Poonam patiently answered the questions raised by the students of IIS University related to their menstrual health problems and Kumkum Choudhary of MBA (HR) presented a vote of thanks to the guest, faculty members and all the students.

Outcome:
