On 25 November, 2021, Department of Physical Education and NSS of IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur in collaboration with Centre for Sight organized an Eye Checkup Camp for Students, Staff and other working members of the University.

Ophthalmologist Dr. Rohini Pandey and Dr. Govind Saini examined everyone in the Eye Camp.

These days, many of us have jobs that require us to stare at computer screens for hours at a time. That can put a real strain on your eyes. Eye problems caused by computer use fall under the heading Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS).

Eye Specialists recommend that most people should get their eyes tested every two years. However, in some circumstances, they may recommend more frequent sight tests; for example, if you are; Child wearing glasses, person suffering from diabetes, aged 40 or over and have a family history of glaucoma and aged 70 or over.

Dr. Ashok Gupta, Chancellor – “In Covid times, due to excessive usage of electronic devices, Students and Staff strained their eyes throughout the year. Keeping this in mind, we decided to organize an Eye Checkup Camp so that everyone can get their eyes checked and benefit from it.”

At the end of the day, Organizing Secretary Dr. Renu Shungloo mentioned that approx. 500 Students, Staff and members of the University got benefited from the Eye Checkup Camp.

All the COVID 19 Guidelines and Protocols were followed during the Eye Checkup Camp.
