WEST ZONE INTER UNIVERSITY VOLLEYBALL (WOMEN) TOURNAMENT

REPORT

The Sport Board of IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur organized the West Zone Inter University Volleyball (Women) Tournament from 12-15 December 2018. The University received entries from 60 University teams out of which 50 teams participated in the tournament from all over Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat. All 700 players were accommodated in the University hostels. The matches were played in the SMS stadium Volleyball Court as well as the IIS University campus. The Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony was Shri Ramavtar Jakhar, Secretary General Volleyball Federation of India. The IIS University Volleyball team reached the Quarter Finals. The Chief Guest for the Valediction Ceremony was Shri Suresh Mishra, Arjun Awardee and International Volleyball player of Rajasthan. The awards and trophies were given by the Chief Guest to the volleyball players.

The results were:

2. Savitribai Phule, Pune University, Pune             Second position;

3. University Of Rajasthan, Jaipur                         Third position

4. P.D.U.S. University, Sikar                                    Fourth Position
