Objective of the event- To aware students about the career opportunities available in the field of sports.

On 23rd November, 2020 Department of Sports and NCC organized an online seminar for the students of IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur from 9:30-10:30am.The seminar was conducted via Microsoft Teams with the total strength of 90 students. The Dr.Shipra Mathur (Guest of the day) elucidated her views on the Topic- Sports and Media.

She said to be a Sportsperson requires a plenty of hardwork, passion, discipline, time and determination, a sportsperson is responsible and knows the value of time. Further she explained different ways to be in sports other than playing on field, like Sports News Reporter, Sports Writer, Sports Photography, Editor, Publisher and Talk Show host. If you are good at conveying the message, then you can communicate your stories easily to the audience. Later she added that technology helps you to leverage your knowledge, if you can’t be a sportsperson don’t lose your passion, your hopes because “To win and lose is not the aim of life. The seminar concluded with an interactive Q/A session and by a formal vote of thanks to Dr. Shipra Mathur.

Outcome of the event- The way Dr.Shipra explained everything about the career in sports will surely going to help students in their future; it was an energetic, wonderful and knowledgeable session.
